What is your nationality?
I am a proud American Latina, my parents and family are from the Dominican Republic.

What or who has been your biggest cultural influence?
My Mother has been my biggest cultural influence, she was a poor farm girl, 1 of 13 children. She worked hard in school and immigrated to this country in her early twenties from the Dominican Republic, pursued higher education and went to college where she had to learn English and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and later became a U.S. citizen.

What would you like people to know about your culture?
I would like people to know that we are very proud of our heritage, traditions and customs, and especially our language.

What is your favorite food?
